To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government when he will establish the investigation panel to examine the issue of mica; what the process will be for home owners affected by mica to notify the investigation panel of details of their homes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No. 35 of 10 December 2015 which sets out the position in relation to this matter and remains relevant. Arrangements for the appointment of the chair of the expert panel are advancing and I expect to be in a position to announce the chairperson shortly.
