The Central Statistics Office publishes annual population estimates in August with a mid-April reference period.Data is compiled at single year of age only. The latest results were published on August 26th 2015 and estimate that in mid-April 2015 there were 210,112persons aged 2 years and under and 218,370persons aged 1 to 3 years usually resident in the State.
The table below shows the estimated population by single year of age for those aged 0 to 3 years. The table also shows estimated totals for persons aged 2 years and under and persons aged 1 to 3 years.
