260. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of farmers who have been approved for tier one, two and three and by county for the GLAS; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43981/15]

In October some 24,430 approval letters began issuing to farmers confirming their acceptance into the scheme. The number of farmers who received approval to the scheme under Tier 1 is 10,185, Tier 2 is 5,888 and Tier 3 is 8,357. A county by county breakdown of the numbers in each Tier is not yet available. A further 1,600 have recently been approved but a county and tier breakdown for these applications is not yet available.
