My Department is currently in the process of finalising secondary legislation to recognise a range of service providers, including farriers. While the regulations are at an advanced stage, I am anxious to accommodate, insofar as possible, the range of views which have been put forward in the context of the consultation process. I am hopeful that this current phase of consultations will enable outstanding issues to be resolved and that the regulations will be finalised at an early date.
