551. To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government the action he has taken to date following on the receipt by his Department some months ago of the planning review into a number of decisions by local authorities; if the local authorities directly concerned have been circulated with copies of the consultant's report; if replies have been received; if the report has been forwarded to any other person or bodies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. MacCabe Durney Barnes Consultants were appointed in February 2014 to carry out an independent planning review on the performance of planning functions having regard to specific planning issues in respect of six planning authorities (Carlow, Cork, Galway and Meath County Councils and Cork and Dublin City Councils) in accordance with section 255 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended.  I received the final report from the consultants in July 2015 and it has not been forwarded onwards to any other person, body or local authority outside of my Department. I intend to publish the report shortly having fully considered its contents.
