While my Department is the lead Government Department for the response to a range of major emergency scenarios, including flooding, the Office of Public Works is the lead agency for flood prevention and flood mitigation.

In relation to the report referred to by the Deputy, the report contains no recommendations that are relevant to my Department’s areas of responsibility.
