To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the estimated expenditure of his Department in 2015, in tabular form; the budget for expenditure agreed at the start of the year for 2015; the extra expenditure or savings in this budget during the year to date; when and under what process this expenditure and these savings were approved; and his Department's budget for expenditure in 2016. I refer the Deputy to the tables hereunder which provide details broken down by sector of:

1. total estimated 2015 expenditure in my Department at the beginning of this year;

2. actual 2015 expenditure in my Department to the end of Q3 2015; and

3. total estimated 2016 expenditure

It is not possible to provide the Deputy with a precise estimate of end year expenditure in 2015 at this point, nor to provide an indication of the end year saving or otherwise. That said, the Deputy may wish to note the actual expenditure in my Department to end of Q3 of this year. It is important to state that the capital expenditure in my Department is more heavily profiled towards the final quarter of the year reflecting the low proportional spend to date.
