Carer's Allowance (CA) is a payment made to people who satisfy means and habitual residency conditions and are providing full-time care and attention to a person or persons who requires such care. When an applicant is getting certain social welfare payments and also satisfies the conditions for CA, they can keep their main social welfare payment and get a half-rate CA as well.
The person concerned is in receipt of an Invalidity Pension from 8November 2012 and is also in receipt of a half-rate CA.
