I can confirm that the school referred to by the Deputy has made an application to my Department for capital funding for the provision of additional accommodation.

The application is currently being considered and my Department will convey a decision to the school authorities concerned as soon as the assessment process has been concluded.

I can confirm that the school to which the Deputy refers has applied to my Department for large scale capital funding to provide a new school building.

My Department continues to liaise with the School Authorities in respect of their proposal and in that regard further clarifications are awaited. Once these clarifications have been received the matter will be considered further.
