464. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his Department will make contact with Iarnród Éireann in order to assess the reason there are not enough rail carriages in operation on the Dublin-Sligo train service at peak times (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of rail services is an operational matter for Iarnród Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority (NTA) and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to both the company and the NTA for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
