528. To ask the Minister for Health if he is aware of the 12 month waiting list for speech, language and occupational therapy services in Dublin south west; his views on whether this situation is likely to improve at an early date, specifically for a child (details supplied) who has been diagnosed with autism; the measures the Health Service Executive is implementing to reduce waiting times given that early intervention is key for all children with such difficulties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The particular issue raised by the Deputy is a service matter for the Health Service Executive. Accordingly I have arranged for the question to be referred to the HSE for direct reply to the Deputy. If he has not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days he should contact my Private Office and they will follow up on the matter.
