414. To ask the Minister for Health if he will provide an overview of the current provision of State-funded home help services; his views that extra State-funded home helpers are needed to provide support, including the addition of provisions for a more flexible service, including more weekend and night time cover; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 412 and 414 together.

As these are service matters they have been referred to the Health Service Executive for direct reply. If you have not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days please contact my Private Office and they will follow up the matter with them.
