142. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if any specific information has been brought to her Department's attention in respect of flawed titles to properties, the subject of transactions during the economic boom; whether any provision can be made, whereby such titles can be regularised; and if she will make a statement on the matter. No specific information has been brought to the attention of my Department regarding flawed titles resulting from transactions during the recent economic boom. Under the Registration of Deeds and Title Acts 1964 and 2006, the Property Registration Authority has statutory responsibility for the registration of titles in the State. In exercising its statutory functions, the Authority operates in accordance with legislation, relevant case law and its own Practice Directions.
