Student grant applications are means tested on gross income from all sources earned inside and outside the State within a specified reference period, with certain specified social welfare and Health Service Executive payments excluded.
The Student Grant Scheme 2015 was published in April 2015. The 2015 Scheme includes a number of new income disregards such as Rent Supplement payments. The Rental Accommodation Scheme is not listed as an income disregard in the 2015 scheme.
