The person named was a participant in the 2014 Sheep Technology Adoption Programme (STAP). As part of his participation in the 2014 scheme he selected Task 5, applicable to farms stocked at less than 170kgs/HA (of organic nitrogen) - to complete soil analysis for entire the farm. In relation to Task 5, the terms and conditions of the 2014 STAP scheme state that applicants who are required to apply for Nitrates derogation or who are participants in AEOS 2 (2011) and AEOS 3 (2013) or who have selected Task 4 in BTAP are ineligible for this task.

At the time of payment the person named was recorded as being stocked at 270 kgs/Nha and as such was deemed ineligible for payment. However, in light of the information contained in this parliamentary question the matter will now be reviewed and the person named will be informed of an outcome as soon as it is available.
