I am advised by the Director General of the Irish Prison Service that an internal examination of staff concerns at Portlaoise Prison was undertaken and a summary report issued to all participants involved in that process on 18 December 2013.

I am further advised by the Director General that the participants in this examination were assured that discussions would remain confidential. Therefore, in order to protect the identity of those who engaged in the examination it is not intended to publish the report.
