The apportionment of National Lottery funding to various lines of voted expenditure is the responsibility of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform in accordance with the provisions of section 41 of the National Lottery Act 2013. However, for the Deputy’s information, expenditure on national culture and heritage (including the Irish language) is covered under Section 41 of the Act. Subhead B3, Grant for An Chomhairle Oidhreachta (Heritage Council), is one of three subheads in my Department’s Vote that are partially funded from the National Lottery allocation. The components of my Department’s Vote which are part-funded by proceeds of the National Lottery are Subhead A9, An Chomhairle Ealaíon (Arts Council); Subhead B3, Grant for An Chomhairle Oidhreachta (Heritage Council); and Subhead C4, Irish Language Support Schemes. Allocations in respect of these subheads are set out in the Revised Estimates Volumes for the years in question and are published by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform on its website at
