To ask the Minister for Health the number of trained paramedics in the ambulance service who are out-of-work or on protective leave in each of the Health Service Executive regions; the number of negotiated settlements in respect of the same categories of employees in the ambulance service; the costs relative to each settlement; the amount of lump sums and-or pensions granted as part of the settlements; the cost to the executive of training a paramedic; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
