342. To ask the Minister for Health if he will commit to providing a long-term funding solution to the organisations currently funded under the scheme to support national organisations, organisations that have to deal with uncertain futures and difficulties in planning long-term campaigns and service provision, in particular the Irish Stammering Association, which, as a national organisation, only receives €25,000 funding annually; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Government currently provides funding of almost €1.5 billion to the Disability Services Programme through the Health Service Executive's (HSE's) National Service Plan for 2015 and is committed to protecting frontline services for people with disabilities. In 2015, the HSE is seeking to maximise the provision of services within available resources and to maintaining a level of services consistent with that provided in 2014.

As the Deputy's question relates to service matters, I have arranged for the question to be referred to the HSE for direct reply to the Deputy. If the Deputy has not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days, please contact my Private Office and they will follow the matter up with the HSE.
