To ask the Minister for Finance if he will provide in tabular form a breakdown of all third level courses and training programmes provided for employees of the Central Bank of Ireland, and the accompanying cost, for the 2014-15 academic year from 1 September 2014 to the end of June 2015; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under Section 6D of the Central Bank Act 1942, as amended, the Central Bank Commission is responsible for administrating the staffing of the Central Bank with a view to enabling the Central Bank to perform and exercise its functions and powers. Section 6D also provides that the Central Bank Commission is responsible for the establishment and operation of a policy under which provision is made for employees of the Central Bank to be given opportunities for training and experience in various activities of the Central Bank.

In that regard, the Central Bank has provided me with the following table outlining all third level courses and training programmes provided for employees of the Central Bank from September 2014 to June 2015, the total cost of such courses and the number of participants on each course.
