377. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality the number of recorded death threats and life-threatening threats made against members of An Garda Síochána in each of the past five years to date; the number of similar threats recorded as having been made against members of the general public in the same period; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware the Central Statistics Office (CSO), as the national statistical agency, is responsible for the publication of recorded crime statistics. I have requested the CSO to provide the available statistics in relation to recorded instances of threats along the lines referred to by the Deputy directly to him.
