94. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the number of applicants on the clerical officer panel for each region as at 1 January 2015; the numbers on the panels who have been appointed to the Civil Service and the numbers who have voluntarily left the panels since that time, broken down by region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Public Appointments Service (PAS) is the centralised recruitment body for the civil and public service established on an independent, statutory basis.  Through its selection competitions PAS establishes panels of suitably qualified individuals from which vacancies in the civil and public service may be filled.

The specific information requested on clerical officer panels needs to be collated and presented in a format which would answer the Deputy's question. PAS have informed my Department that it has not been possible to have the relevant information provided in that format within the timeframe available in this instance.  PAS have, therefore, undertaken to forward the information directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
