The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform announced new guidelines for appointments to State Boards on 30th September last. The new process is managed by the Public Appointments Services (PAS) and details are available on . Apart from Worker Directors, appointments to vacancies on State Boards will be dealt with through the PAS portal . The current membership and Chairpersons of the Boards of CIÉ, Bus Éireann, Iarnród Éireann and Dublin Bus are listed below. All appointments to the CIÉ Board are subject to Government approval and appointments to the Boards of Bus Éireann, Iarnród Éireann and Dublin Bus are Ministerial appointees.
