442. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total number of farmers with suckler cows, broken down by the number of cattle as follows, 0 to 10, 11 to 20, 21 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, 51 to 60, 61 to 70, 71 to 80, 81 to 90, 91 to 100, 101 to 150, 151 to 200, and greater than 200; the number of applications received under the beef data genomics programme to date; in view of the number of applications received, if he will defer the closing date of the programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Significant levels of interest have been expressed by suckler farmers in the scheme and over 12,500 Beef Data Genomics Programme applications have been received to date. The closing date for receipt of these applications is 29 May 2015 as outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
