To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the steps he will take to address the issues raised in correspondence regarding an application under the single payment scheme in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Longford; if this will be positively dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The person named submitted an application under the Single Payment and Disadvantaged Areas Schemes on 14 May 2013. A Transfer of Entitlements form was also received on 29 April 2013.

This Transfer of Entitlements application was a reversal of an earlier transfer in 2007 between the person named and his son. The second transfer application was due to exceptional circumstances. Complications in this regard have delayed payment under Department Schemes. An Official of my Department has been assigned to pursue all matters with a view to payment of outstanding moneys due and the correct establishment of entitlements under the Basic Payment Scheme. This Official will liaise with the person named and keep him informed of progress with the intention of finalising any outstanding issues as soon as possible.
