To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide in tabular form, the number of public sector workers in receipt of an annual gross salary in the pay brackets €0 to €10,000; €10,001 to €20,000; €20,001 to €25,000; €25,001 to €30,000; €30,001 to €35,000; €35,001 to €40,000; €40,001 to €45,000; €45,001 to €50,000; €50,001 to €55,000; €55,001 to €60,000; €60,001 to €65,000; €65,001 to €70,000; €70,001 to €80,000; €80,001 to €90,000; €90,001 to €100,000; €100,001 to €125,000; €125,001 to €150,000; €150,000 to €200,000; €201,000 to €250,000; €250,001 to €300,000; and in excess of €300,000. The Deputy will be aware that in June 2011 the Government introduced a general pay ceiling of €200,000 for future appointments to higher positions across the public service and a general pay ceiling of €250,000 forfuture appointments to CEO posts within Commercial State Companies.
