To ask the Minister for Health the arrangements in place to assist persons who live up to 50 miles from a hospital and who are in receipt of a social welfare payment, particularly elderly persons who have to pay for travel to and from hospital appointments, particularly when these appointments are frequent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
