To ask the Taoiseach the total expenditure on consultancy by his Department; and the number of consultants engaged by his Department in the years 2011 to 2014; the names of the consultancy companies awarded contracts; the steps that have been taken to reduce the expenditure on consultancy and the reliance on consultants by his Department in these years, and for the future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The total amount of expenditure on consultancy by my Department in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 was €112,890.24. The majority of this expenditure related to the EU Presidency in 2012 and 2013.

A table details the number of consultants engaged by my Department from 2011 to the end of 2014.
