To ask the Minister for Health if the Health Service Executive transitional care initiative is being implemented in counties Mayo and Sligo to ensure persons requiring nursing home care may avail of it in a timely manner, and the numbers supported in counties Mayo and Sligo since the beginning of the year. As this is a service matter it has been referred to the Health Service Executive for direct reply. If the Deputy has not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days he should contact my Private Office and they will follow up the matter with them.
