Responsibility for the designation of sufficient area nationally for the protection of the Chough rests with the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

All areas of Chough habitat as advised by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. are included as Priority Environmental Assets on the GLAS online application system and it is not possible , at this stage, to add additional areas for the current application tranche.
