248. To ask the Minister for Social Protection if her Department is currently profiling recipients of disability allowance; the form this profiling is taking, including any link with the probability of exit scores used for the live register and its rationale; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department does not currently profile recipients of disability allowance (DA).
However, the Department is planning to ask those currently in receipt of DA to supply information relating to educational attainment levels, employment history etc.
This exercise will get under way in the latter half of this year and the information obtained will better inform the planning and delivery of employment and training supports to people with disabilities in the future.
