917. To ask the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht her views that it is reasonable that 32 days annual leave is granted for the position of Regional Manager of the Western Region in Waterways Ireland; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14277/15]

I am informed by Waterways Ireland that the post of Regional Manager, Western Region, was advertised indicating an annual leave entitlement of 32 days, which was inadvertently based on the leave entitlement that previously applied to this post.

I am also advised that, in line with the current arrangements governing annual leave entitlement in the civil service, the annual leave entitlement for new appointments to the post of Regional Manager, Western Region, is 30 days. I understand that Waterways Ireland will be notifying applicants of the correct leave entitlement as part of the ongoing recruitment process.
