To ask the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 442 of 10 February 2015, the level of negotiations he has had regarding utilising St. Joseph's Hospital in County Longford and St. Mary's Hospital in County Westmeath as a step-down facility; in view of the fact that in the previous reply by SNR the official outlines the current status, and that any further increase in bed capacity would require refurbishment, if it is Government policy to ensure necessary funding is made available to carry out necessary refurbishment, and additional staff to utilise these facilities for set-down facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
