I am responsible for appointment of members to the boards of the Adoption Authority of Ireland, the Child and Family Agency (Tusla), Gaisce and the Board of Management for the Children Detention Schools in Oberstown, Co. Dublin. My Department does not keep a record of the age of the chairpersons or ordinary members of these boards. I can inform the Deputy that none of the members serve on more than one board under the aegis of my Department. The following table sets out the number of women on each board and summarises the overall gender balance on each.
