The Department of Defence previously owned a property at Iveragh Road, Killorglin, Kerry. In 2005 Kerry County Council acquired the property for inclusion in a major town development project and in exchange a new purpose built Reserve Defence Force facility was provided on a nearby site. Following the reorganisation of the Defence Forces, the Reserve Defence Force Unit vacated the property in March 2013. The property continues to be a 12thInfantry Battalion location and is extensively used for training camps and courses throughout the year. Due to this high level of Defence Forces use, in the circumstances I regret that the property will not be available for lease at this time.
