The Nurses and Midwives Act 2011 provides for the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland to register, regulate and control nurses and midwives with the purpose of protection of the public.

In relation to the person whose details you have provided I understand form NMBI that this nurse, who trained in the U.K., sent in a completed application form to the Board on the 18 February 2015. The necessary verification of her registration from the U.K. was received by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland on the 9 March 2015. I have been advised that this application is currently being reviewed in accordance with the procedures of the nursing board and the person will receive notification from them in the near future.
