88. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality the number of learner permit holders that have been charge since the new law came into effect on 8 December 2014 making it a penalty point offence to drive unaccompanied or without L plates displayed; the number that were charged for both offences at the one time and the number of those that were issued with a fixed penalty notice for both offences, which would result in two points for each offence; the number that were only issued with a fixed penalty notice, for just driving unaccompanied, even though they also failed to display L plates at the time; the number that have paid their fixed penalty notice , to date; and the number that have been summonsed to court for failing to pay.
