To ask the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No.182 of 18 February 2015, if he will acknowledge there is no pay grade for assistant psychologists, as there is within the National Health Service in the United Kingdom; and if he will eliminate the practice of using these professionals in a voluntary capacity, and instead, replace it with a proper pay grade. My Department has been advised by the HSE that representations have been made by the IMPACT Trade Union for the establishment of the grade of Assistant Psychologist. I understand that the HSE is examining this proposal.
