To ask the Minister for Health his views on utilising the services of fire fighters, employed full-time or on a part-time retainer, across the State, in their capacity as trained emergency-first responders, as a back-up to the ambulance service, where there is a possibility that the ambulance on call, cannot respond to an emergency, within an acceptable timeframe.
