576. To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government if he is satisfied that a foreshore licence application (details supplied) has remained in the Chief State Solicitor's Office for four years without being finalised; the reason for this delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is continuing to engage with the Chief State Solicitor’s Office concerning matters in relation to the foreshore lease application concerned. There is a challenge by a Third Party to the State’s ownership of the foreshore and this challenge relates to an area of foreshore that forms part of the application. I will only be in a position to make a determination on the application following resolution of the ownership issues.
