988. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will direct the National Roads Authority to relocate a large road sign which is located on the N7 to the rear of an area (details supplied) in Dublin 22 and which was recently erected by the NRA during the construction of the Newlands Cross flyover and which is obstructing the view of residents living in the area. As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for overall policy and funding in relation to the national roads programme.  The planning, design and implementation of individual road projects, such as the N7 junction upgrade at Newlands Cross is a matter for the National Roads Authority (NRA) under the Roads Acts 1993 to 2007 in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.

Noting the above position, I have referred the Deputy’s question regarding the N7 to the NRA for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
