To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he will provide in tabular form the number of EU directives which remain to be implemented within his Department; the name of these directives; the timeframe for the implementation of these directives; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are two EU Directiveswhich remains to be implemented within my Department, the details of which are set out in the following table:

| Directive 2009/72/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 July 2009 concerning common rules for the internal market in electricity and repealing Directive 2003/54/EC | In May 2014 the European Commission commenced proceedings relating to the transposition of the Directive. It is envisaged that Ireland will transpose all outstanding elements of the Directive in early 2015. |
| Directive 2013/30/EU on Safety of Offshore Oil and Gas Operations. | The deadline for transposition of the Directive is 19 July 2015. |
