To ask the Minister for Health the grounds on which a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 was denied access to the treatment abroad scheme and also denied access to the cross-border directive; and if Cappagh Hospital, Dublin does not have the budget to perform this procedure within reasonable time, the reason the person cannot avail of the external treatment under those schemes. The Health Service Executive has been asked to examine this matter and to reply to the Deputy as soon as possible. If the Deputy has not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days, please contact my Private Office who will follow up the matter with them.
