I have no statutory responsibility in relation to the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI), which is the national design and economic development organisation for the craft industry in Ireland. I am advised that its activities are funded by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland and that further details in this regard are available on the Council's website at . For completeness, I should say that there is a significant level of co-operation between DCCoI and certain bodies funded from my Department's Vote Group – such as the Arts Council or Culture Ireland - that have separate, though complementary, roles. This was evident, for example, in work carried out jointly on Ireland's Cultural Programme for our Presidency of the EU in respect of which funding of the order of €100,000 was provided to DCCoI under my Department's Culture Ireland programme.
