64. To ask the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 223 of 2 December 2014, the reason a ten year licence was provided to the company (details supplied), despite the fact that at a time the Financial Regulator had evidence of malpractice in their possession; and the avenue that is open to a citizen to pursue this further. Due to the confidentiality requirements imposed by domestic and EU legislation which provides for confidentiality of information and limits disclosure to circumstances specifically provided for in the Central Bank Act 1942, the Central Bank advise me that it cannot comment on its engagement with specific entities.

If the individual concerned has not already done so, they may wish to make a complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman. Details of how to make a complaint are available on the Ombudsman's website at .

Alternatively I would advise the individual to seek independent legal advice on the best course of action to pursue.
