Since its establishment in June 2011, my Department has brought back three of its retired civil servants on contract work or temporary contracts. For the sake of completeness, I would also state that as, previously advised to the House, one of my predecessor's special advisers was in receipt of a public service pension and was paid an abated salary accordingly.
