458. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if her departmental officials have received a request to meet with a delegation from a school (details supplied) in County Donegal, to discuss the need for a new building and to highlight traffic safety concerns with the current location of the school; if so whether her officials would meet a deputation from the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can advise that a request for a meeting with a delegation from the school, to which the Deputy refers, was recently submitted to my Department's Planning and Building Unit. I understand my officials have been in touch with the school recently and are waiting on the school's Design Team and the School Authority to respond, prior to arranging the Stage 2(a) Stakeholders Meeting.

School building projects, including the project for the school referred to by the Deputy, which have not been included in the Five Year Construction Programme, but which were announced for initial inclusion in the building programme will be ready to be progressed to the final planning stages in anticipation of the possibility of further funds being available to the Department in future years.
