320. To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the communications he has had with a person (details supplied) in Dublin 17 who is seeking redress for the documented abuse suffered while placed in foster care by the Dublin health authority, which abuse was officially reported as early as 1955, and if he will meet this person as previously requested by him. There has been no communication between the Department of Children and Youth Affairs with the person concerned, since the establishment of the Department in early 2011. However, I understand that there were communications between the individual concerned and the then Department of Health and Children in the period up to and including 2010. I also understand that the individual concerned was directed by the then Department of Health and Children to the Department of Education, in respect of the Redress Board.
