To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the way his Department deals with 2014 disadvantaged area scheme and first 50% tranche of 2014 single farm payments in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Clare who is currently appealing a 2013 decision and awaiting an on-site inspection; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application under the 2014 Single Farm Payment /Disadvantaged Areas Scheme was received from the person named on 2 May 2014. Processing of this application has recently been finalised on the basis of the area declared by the applicant. I expect that payments will shortly issue to the nominated bank account of the person named. The 2013 appeal is still ongoing and will be finalised once the results of the inspection are known.
