The individual referred to in the Deputy’s Question applied to sell his interest in land within a site designated as a special area of conservation under the voluntary bog purchase scheme administered by my Department. The vendor’s solicitor has raised a query in relation to one of the conditions attached to the contract for sale and this is currently being investigated by officials of my Department. My Department will be in contact with the solicitor via the Chief State Solicitor’s Office shortly with a view to finalising this matter.
